This performance took place at the open air festival Sounds of Youth (Zvok Mladosti) at the Križanke open-air theatre. The symphony orchestra of the Music for the future was invited to play among young Slovenian bands. Our conductor Olga Khoma found two previously unknown symphonic pieces from prominent Ukrainian composer Mykhailo Verbytsky which were successfully presented at this concert.

“We were responsible for the symphonic grandeur at this event and we were happy to share the stage with the coolest Slovenian pop groups. Ukrainian music is in our musicians’ blood. Even two never-performed before symphonies by Verbytsky were on the orchestra’s programme and it felt as though we had known them our entire lives.”
