Opening of the Bled Strategic Forum 2022

Bled Strategic Forum 2022 “The Rule of Power or the Power of Rules?” took place on August 29 – 30 2022. The event was attended by European leaders, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, presidents, prime ministers and foreign ministers of several European countries. The forum was solemnly opened by the musical accompaniment of the Ukrainian-Slovenian Youth String Orchestra “Music for the Future”. For the first time at the forum, the words of “Ode to joy” – the anthem of the European Union were translated into Ukrainian.
After an emotional and inspiring performance of the artists, the participants of the forum with introductory speeches were addressed by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Tanja Fajon, General Secretary of the forum Peter Grk and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
