Young musical talents from Ukraine and young musicians under the auspices of the Slovenian Youth Orchestra united as the Music for the future Orchestra, performed at Cankarjev Dom.

Before, during and after the event, in cooperation with UNICEF Slovenia, donations were collected to help participating musicians and their families from Ukraine, as well as support for UNICEF programmes for children and families from Ukraine.

The headliner of the concert was Gidon Kremer, one of the most admired musicians on the planet. He has delivered tremendous gifts to the music-loving community for over five decades. He was always connected to Ukrainian culture in many ways: with numerous collaborations, by playing and promoting pieces of Ukrainian composers and last, but not least, he was always supportive of young musicians and he continues to support our project.

The event was held under the honourable patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor.
